POMONA, Calif. (March 26, 2025) – Justin Ashley and his SCAG Power Equipment Toyota Top Fuel dragster team roll into the 65th annual Lucas Oil NHRA Winternationals at In-N-Out Burger Pomona Dragstrip, with a chance to etch their names deeper into NHRA history.

As the third stop of the 20-race 2025 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series, Ashley arrives with three consecutive Winternationals victories (2022-2024) and four straight final-round appearances, poised to become the first Top Fuel driver—and only the second in NHRA history—to win this iconic event four years running.

“We have an opportunity to do something very special in Pomona,” Ashley said. “The NHRA Winternationals are always prestigious, but this one certainly has more juice to it given the circumstances,” Ashley said. “We tested on Monday in Phoenix with a specific goal in mind and I believe we accomplished that. Obviously, the conditions will be different this weekend, but what we learned should still be applicable. I am incredibly proud of our SCAG Racing team for earning the right to be in this position. They deserve it.”

With his quarterfinal finish at the NHRA Arizona Nationals, Ashley has 149 career round wins under his belt. A milestone 150th victory looms as a possibility this weekend—a mark Ashley sees as a tribute to his support system.

“Our strategy heading into the weekend remains the same,” he added. “The focus is on being the very best versions of ourselves that we can be both on and off the racetrack. We’ll let the rest take care of itself,” Ashley said. “So while I won’t be focusing on it specifically, the idea of winning my 150th round of racing is very exciting. It’s a testament to all the wonderful teammates, partners, and people I have had and continue to have in my life.”

Adding to the weekend, Ashley will also be competing in the postponed Right Trailers Top Fuel All-Start Callout that was supposed to be run at the season opening Gatornationals. He’ll race two-time world champion Brittany Force in the first round of competition taking place during Friday qualifying.

Racing action at the Lucas Oil NHRA Winternationals at In-N-Out Burger Pomona Dragstrip begins Friday with two rounds of qualifying at 1:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. PT, followed by two more on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. PT. Eliminations kickoff Sunday at 11:00 a.m. PT. Television coverage of the event will be on FOX Sports 1 (FS1) with qualifying shows Saturday at 8:00 p.m. ET and Sunday at Noon ET and eliminations Sunday at 6:30 p.m. ET. A specialty Right Trailers Top Fuel All-Star Callout show will air Friday at 9:30 p.m. ET
