Ultimate Hydro-Drive Walk-Behind

The Scag "Ultimate" Zero Turn Walk Behind Mower is the "Ultimate" in quality, dependability and performance.

With an easily adjustable, floating Advantage™ or Velocity Plus™ cutter deck, you can change cutting heights from 1" to 4-1/2", in the field, with no tools required. The self-adjusting, spring-loaded belt systems save you time and repair costs by effortlessly keeping the belts in perfect adjustment.

The "Adjust-A-Trac" feature allows instant neutral and tracking adjustment in the field, for the "Ultimate" in maintenance ease. A pump release disengages the hydraulic pumps for easier starting in cold climates.

  • Your choice of engines, including a 16hp, 17hp, or 19hp Kawasaki KAI engine.
  • Easy engine oil drain makes maintenance clean and simple.

  • Floating Advantage or Velocity Plus cutter deck contours to uneven terrain and allows you to quickly change cutting heights in the field with no tools (1" to 4-1/2").
  • Heavy-duty blade drive spindles provide unbeatable performance.
  • Rear push arms on back of deck allow for easier height-of-cut changes and increased durability.
  • Convenient dash panel puts the controls at your fingertips, including forward speed lever, parking brake lever, key switch, throttle, electric blade brake switch and optional hour meter.
  • "Adjust-A-Trac" feature allows instant neutral and tracking adjustment in the field for the "Ultimate" in control.
  • Large 6 gallon, rust-free fuel tank keeps you in the field cutting. This tank design is 20% larger than tanks on other mower brands. Molded-in cup holder provides added operator convenience and comfort.
  • De-clutch cold start feature enhances cold weather starting by removing the load of the hydraulic pumps at startup.
  • Ogura PTO clutch brake engages the cutter blades. Adjustable airgap ensures long component life.
  • Oversize caster and drive tires make curb climbing and trailer loading easy.
  • Extra durable front caster arms are designed to handle rough environments.
  • Heavy-duty Flat-Free caster wheels with quick pin removal for easy maintenance and cutting height adjustments. Semi-pneumatic tire design virtually eliminates downtime and expense resulting from flat front tires.
  • Heavy gauge handlebars are adjustable to provide additional comfort for taller operators. Handlebars have three height settings and fit a wide variety of operators.
  • Redesigned handlebars allow for more comfortable operation, with reduced handlebar diameter and adjusted steering lever angle. Twin hand controls with spring assisted EZ-GRIP allows for smooth, precise responsiveness. EZ-GRIP reduces the amount of hand force required to operate the mower for increased operator comfort.
  • Operator presence controls are vinyl-dipped and designed for operator comfort.
  • "Split-Steel" pulley design is stronger than cast iron or stamped pulley designs. They are precision matched and lightweight for reduced inertia and decreased wear on the cutter deck drive system.
  • High-quality bearings and bearing debris guard on idler pulleys ensure long, reliable service.
  • Tapered lock hubs on hydro pump pulleys provide added reliablilty and ease of service.
  • Self-adjusting belt idlers on all belt systems eliminate belt adjustments and reduce downtime by adding life to the belts.
  • Double stacked roller bearing in cutter deck idler pulley adds to reliability.
  • Marbain cutter blades stay sharp longer for reduced maintenance.
